The Malborough Music Monster Mash was born in 2008 when local musician Dave Sharp was diagnosed with cancer.

The first Monster Mash was held to raise money for Dave's family and cancer charities. Before Dave sadly lost his battle against cancer in June 2009 he expressed his wishes for us to continue the Monster Mash and to put the money back into the community to help children develop their musical talent. Since we have formed Dave Sharp Young Musicians Fund. The fund will be holding workshops for young people using the money raised from The Mash. We will also continue to support cancer charities.

The event will run over two days, Friday April 29, and Saturday April 30, and Hi-on Maiden are proud to have been asked to headline the Saturday night in tribute, not just to Iron Maiden, but to Dave Sharp himself, who was a huge Iron Maiden fan.

The full line-up of bands is yet to be finalised, and will appear here in due course.
