After their successful appearance at the first 'Masters of Rock' show Hi-on Maiden will be returning to the 'Masters of Rock III' at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on October 24th, 2008. In a truly massive joint headline event Hi-on will be appearing with arguably the definitive AC/DC tribute act Dirty DC. Support will be provided by local rockers General Lee.

The 'Masters of Rock' series of concerts has been a tremendous success so far, and this years event promises to be the best yet. With the two most popular bands from the previous shows set to perform all the classics from two of rock music's greatest bands fans are set for a mind blowing evening of music.
Hi-on Maiden's performance at the the first 'Masters of Rock' show recreated the famous 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son' stage set, toured around the globe in 1988 by the great Iron Maiden, and was a huge hit with the crowd in Cambridge.
Speed Harris says of their first appearance: "The first Masters of Rock was awesome! The gig was a sell out with 1200 punters packed in The Corn Exchange for a full on night of rock, It was one of the biggest indoor gigs I have done to date. The atmosphere was electric. As the event was a celebration of Donington '88, we had recreated the Seventh Son stage set with the ice Eddies, the whole thing looked fantastic. We even replicated the stage clothes Maiden wore on that night... Before we went on, we watched Dressed to Kill who were the joint headliners, they were amazing and put on a blinding show - the closest thing you will ever get to seeing the real thing. Then it was show time!!!
As we waited in the wings, our backdrop was hoisted up against the back wall, I will never forget the immense cheer it received from the crowd!!! That got the adrenalin pumping even faster, and we hit the stage running. We played a blinder, and the size of the stage allowed us to run around and put on a full show. The crowd went mad and called us back for 2 encores.
It's great to be asked back to perform at the third Masters of Rock, it should be every bit as good as the first!."
